Resolutions!

I am usually late on the resolutions, but for once I would like to do them on time i.e. the last day of 2012!

2013 is a new milestone for me because I am finally hitting the THREE-O. I know I am always trying to ignore this fact or pretend that I am actually still an 18-year-old, but honestly, I am feeling really good about checking a different age box for the next decade.

The past 10 years had been quite a ride. I feel like I've gone through my lowest points, felt lost and true despair about myself and my life. But everything picked up for me and I am able to end my 20s with a positive spirit and a calming inner peace that I have somehow managed to find in the past year.

I am especially thankful that I have managed to cultivate a little tolerance and patience, to use my mind to think of solutions than to just allow my anger and stubbornness get the better of me, while not compromising on my beliefs and my integrity. I am also thankful for the experiences I have gained this year, glad that I have become happier and a better person for them.

So what's next?

In 2013, my resolutions are:

i) As always, for my family and friends to be happy and healthy. This has always been utmost in my mind and  it has never changed for me. I know that as long as my love ones are in a good place, I will be in that good place as well.

ii) To better myself both personally and professionally, so that I can value-add not only for myself, but towards my job as well. I feel that I have been very fortunate in my career thus far, to meet people whom I can learn from, who have always been guiding and helping me along the way. I definitely want to improve myself so that I can make them proud.

iii) Travel, travel, travel! Seeing new places and experiencing different cultures has, and always will be, my greatest passion. Although I do need to fulfill the next resolution first before I can embark on another grand trip, so it will be shorter and nearer trips for me in 2013. But nonetheless, I am looking forward!

iv) SAVE MONEY! I am so bad at this, must buck up! -_-

v) Spend more time with the adorable dogs at the pet shelter. Although I must definitely learn not to let them bully me anymore! They seem to be realising that I am a pushover because I have such a soft spot for them, so they are ALWAYS making things difficult for me. Hummph! But still, love them!

vi) To Be Decided.

I decided to have a last resolution that is blank for now, so that I can fill it in as the year progresses. Who says resolutions are only for the beginning of the year? And with that, I hope that 2013 will be as fabulous, if not more, as 2012.

Have a great countdown, everyone!
