Updato

Spent the day in today, so of course I am still wide awake now. Totally not sleepy at all.

Had dinner with Wanyee at Taipa Village yesterday before she flew back to good ol' SG. We went to Venetian after that because there was still a bit of time, and I watched her play slots.

She left with a grand total of $0.25 after putting $150 into the machine. Hong Fei somemore leh. LOL!

It feels nice to be joking and laughing with a good friend in a foreign land. Hoping for more visits from friends. Cannot wait to show Lynna around when she comes in July.

But before that, I shall keep myself busy busy with all the things that I have planned to do.

So far so good.

I did a bit of shopping already, but I think my dressing is really not localised at all. Everytime I go out, I feel like people are looking at me. Or maybe it's just a foreigner syndrome.

Hahaha, or highly possible I 想太多.

There is just something about being overseas that always makes a person feel prettier than she really is, and suddenly catch this confidence to wear what she probably don't wear back home. Ahahahah!

Anyway, enough crapping. I want to go check if there are any new 刘谦 videos to watch. That dude seems to have fallen off the edge of the earth to me. There aren't even any new 大魔兢 episodes with him. Oh so sad! No more 见证奇迹的时刻!!!

Zettai Kareshi

Finished watching Zettai Kareshi series and the special episode yesterday night.

It is so moving!

At first I thought that it would be something funny and entertaining to watch, especially since it is based on Yuu Watase's manga. But I never expected to actually cry during the last episode.

I cry until hei gu, okie? So it's really very moving lar. And the special episode made me cried as well.

This drama really reminded me of Bicentennial Man with Robin Williams, which made me cried too so I din't cry just because the lead actor is hot, okay?

This really makes me wonder about the extent of the idea of "human nature" and whether this "nature" is something that is solely "human" or may be something far more complicated than what we humans think we understand.

Hmmm...

Too bad in real life, we can't really have fairytale-like endings like Pinocchio coming true.

Or can we?

A Quickie

Went to the Royal Supermarket near Gou Gou's house just now for some groceries and also bought this:

As the picture states, it's called the MACAUpass. It works like Singapore's Ez-Link. Now I can take the bus anytime I want without scrambling for coins. I feel so Macanese after buying this. Haha!

And for lunch, I stayed in and had...

Salted fish with pork meat rice.

It's actually a microwaveable meal from 7-11 which taste just like what we can find in coffee shops in Singapore. Very nice and affordable. How come Singapore 7-11's microwaveable meals taste like puke and Macau people can enjoy this? NOT FAIR! But cannot eat this too much or, quote unquote, will die. My Lao Bu say one.

Okay, I am off to Senado Square to get some more toiletries, because I can't find some of those that I want just now, and then off to another round of Zhuhai with Jocelyn and her friends.

I seriously need to get down to business.

PS: Yaay! The McDonald's downstairs is now 24 hours! I can go for supper bites or pretend to be working on something late into the night in the future. I've always wanted to do that, but all the nice 24 hour places in Singapore are so far from my house. And I refuse to act hardworking at the 24 kopitiam downstairs my house. Hahaha. I am so boh liao.

Whoosh!

I am so tired!!!

But it was definitely a good day being the tour guide, albeit one who always got lost, for a change.

Took quite a few pictures while showing Wanyee around. Had to give it to her, she was very patient whenever I got lost, and just waited for me to figure out my way. And in my defense, I kept getting lost because I lost the paper that outlines the bus routes for me.

Take bus economical mah. If take taxi, go anywhere also no problem de loh!

We managed to go to Senado Square and Barra, before meeting up with her colleagues at Fisherman's Wharf. We then went to squeeze with all the DLR's to go Zhuhai.

Wanyee's colleagues really can shop! Think between them, they bought like 30 pairs of shoes? Haha, the power of shopping and China's extremely affordable mass produces.

Okay, I am dead beat now, so my English is going downhill. Gonna finish doing my mask, do some housekeeping and go to bed.

Another round of Zhuhai tomorrow, this time with Jocelyn and her friends. =]

Reporting

I have arrived.

Was so hungry when I got here that I started shaking.

Too serious.

Gonna get ready and go out for some food.

Watching Zettai Kareshi now, which is based on Yuu Watase's comics. It's about time someone realised what an awesome manga author she is.

So What... I'm Still A Rock Star~~~

Man I am EXHAUSTED!

I have a newfound respect for housewives and domestic helpers who do cleaning on a daily basis.

RESPECT!

Gonna shower now, get a deep-cleansing mask done and go to bed!

JB again tomorrow! YEAH!!!

But I already promised Mima I won't shop this time, just go there eat. Let's see if there is any resolve at all this time. Kekeke!

PS: Oh noes, I am entirely hooked on the 9 PM ping pong show. That China man, DYT is really kinda cute wor.

PSS: I think I am really falling into auntie-dom, doing housework, watching Channel 8 drama and all.

PSSS: Is anyone else also enjoying the really pleasant breeze right now?

Let It Die - Feist

Let it die and get out of my mind
We don't see eye to eye
Or hear ear to ear

Don't you wish that we could forget that kiss
And see this for what it is
That we're not in love

The saddest part of a broken heart
Isn't the ending so much as the start

It was hard to tell just how I felt
To not recognize myself
I started to fade away

And after all it won't take long to fall in love
Now I know what I don't want
I learned that with you

The saddest part of a broken heart
Isn't the ending so much as the start
The tragedy starts from the very first spark
Losing your mind for the sake of your heart
The saddest part of a broken heart
Isn't the ending so much as the start

"The song that I had on repeat. Until everything went away. Until I eventually healed. The only 175 seconds that I allow myself to think of you."

Porong Porong Porong Porong Pororo!

Hahahaaaa! This chau penguin is so effing CUTEEEEE!!!

I Hate Titles. They Are So Self-Serving!

Damn! Cleaning my room is turning out to be more back-breaking than I anticipated.

So much dust! And I never knew that an area that appears rather small can yield SO MUCH CRAP!!!

I am so tired! And yes, I was still cleaning right up to the moment I started this entry. Been cleaning for the past two days straight and I am still not done. And it's actual cleaning, not like the half-hearted attempts I made last week.

But I think the difficult parts are over. The only thing left now is my wardrobe, and I already have a rough idea what to throw and what to keep.

Sigh, all this cleaning is killing my mood to blog.

Oh yeah, MY LENOVO S10 SPOIL! TMD!!!

I switched it on this morning to listen to some music while I cleaned and the screen started flickering. Like I did not had enough problems with Lenovo already! I have not gotten the extended warranty by the way, in case anyone is interested to know. And honestly, I give up trying, if it breaks down after the warranty is up, I will probably just get another laptop, highly possible a Macbook.

Anyway, the service centre for S10 is in Bukit Timah Shopping Centre. There is another Lenovo service centre in Changi, which I heard gives much better service. But I guess it's only for the big boys like the Thinkpad or customers who spent more than $658 on their computing needs.

My Ideapad is more or less just a speck of sesame seed to them.

But I don't really want to complain so much because it's actually quite convenient for me. The process of checking in my S10 for servicing was also surprisingly quick and painless. Although when I asked if they have service centres in Hong Kong, the staff told me that he had no idea.

I din't even pushed for an answer because I really felt so spent dealing with all these Lenovo people. It's a losing battle. Although I must say the staff, despite his limited knowledge, was not so bad on the service. Very polite.

So now, I am back on the old Compaq. Ahhh, I was just getting used to the weird keyboard on S10! Damn, damn, damn!!!

Honestly speaking, I really should have gotten back a Compaq. Apart from small glitches from time to time, which is more due to my extreme usage of it than anything else, this Compaq really served me well throughout the years and is still running fine right now despite being a tad too slow.

And trust me, I am not just any ordinary user. I've brutally used and mangled two laptops prior to getting this Compaq, and that was about four years ago. If a laptop can take all that abuse from me, then it deserves an A+.

Okay, this entry is getting too long. Still say I have no mood to blog. Haha! But anyway, I just want to talk about my experience at Bukit Timah Shopping Centre before I end the entry.

IT WAS SUCH A BLAST FROM THE PAST!

The whole place looked so old school. I felt like I was walking in the 80s man. If you are too free with nothing better to do, dropping by Bukit Timah Shopping Centre and maybe grabbing a bite at the food-stalls there would be an interesting experience. Don't forget to visit the shoe shop on the second or third level. It's BIG! I remember my Mum and Aunts used to go there to look at shoes all the time when I was little.

The only thing that bothers me is the countless, many many employment agencies there. And all the maids sitting inside. They looked so dismal. Every time they heard footsteps, they would look up in anticipation, hoping that it's a chance to get out of their joyless waiting for employment. And the look of disappointment on their face after is just so disheartening.

Alright, I am done for the day.

Till next time.

Pink Army TV

Found a CD-R containing a bunch of videos we took a couple of years ago while clearing out my room today. I laughed so much while watching them!

I shall hereby share the joy.

Please enjoy... The Pink Army TV.

Not sure why we liked to refer to ourselves as S.H.E. And we really used to do that A LOT. You will see in the upcoming videos. Now I cringe when I hear it. Haha!

And yes... There are MORE.

Stay tuned.

-_-

SUNBURNT AGAIN!

Fark.

An Incomplete Puzzle

I hate the hot weather outside.
I hate the noisy crowds inside.
I hate that I am so indecisive.
I hate that I am so conclusive.

I hate the lack of friendly voices.
I hate the lack of peaceful silence.
I hate that I am not tolerant.
I hate that I am not uncharitable.

I hate the ones who behave like they are devils.
I hate the ones who act like they are saints.
I hate that I am not as cruel as a monster.
I hate that I am not as kind as an angel.

I hate the people who are too ugly.
I hate the people who are too beautiful.
I hate that I am still trying to conform.
I hate that I am still trying to be different.

I hate my face.
I hate my life.
I hate my soul.
I hate...

BFF! Look!

Cake.

This Came In The Mail Today

Eeeeeeee, so ugly loh, UOB's debit card. They should really do away with the "uncle-ish gold card" look man. It's all about how cool a card looks when you flash it at salespeople loh.

But I would really like to draw your attention to the box next to it. With the almighty declaration that ONLINE SECURITY: IT'S IN YOUR HANDS (!!!)

YES! IN YOURS and NOBUTTIES ELSE'S!!! (!!!!!!!!!!) *even more exclamation marks X infinity*

So what is it, really?

Well, I am sure that most of you are familiar with DBS/POSB's internet-banking token thinggy, so what this really uber awesome box contains is this:

UOB's version of the same thinggy.

Again... U.G.L.Y! DBS/POSB's one is so much better looking loh! What a waste! The box it came in is really uber awesome. I feel so uber secure just holding it in my hand (because ONLINE SECURITY: IT'S IN YOUR HANDS!!!).

UOB should really self-evaluate on their design principles a bit to cater to hip *erhm* and youthful *erhm* people like me. *erhm erhm*

PS: Don't even bother attempting to decipher my debit card number! I mosaic it already. And even if you can, let me save you some trouble by informing you that INSIDE NO MONEY ONE! Neh neh ni boo boo!

BJN Day Out In JB... Again!

Woke up bright and early (10.30 am to be exact which is considered bright and early in my culture already) to accompany Mumsies to JB. She had some stuffs to attend to and asked me to go shopping at City Square while waiting for her.

Ohhoho, needless to say, I am always a happy lady whenever I get to go to City Square. Just look at the old entries I have of my trips there.

Mumsies and I took a bus to the customs, and I was really amazed by the new Malaysian customs. It's so big and shiny! Even the officers looked so much happier to be working in such a pleasant and pristine (Chuyun!!!) environment. And there is actually a covered walkway that goes all the way to City Square from there! No more walking in the hot, scorching sun! Thumbs up!

After Mumsies left me to my own devices, I went to Kim Gary for lunch. Yummy food as usual although it was surprisingly crowded for a weekday and I had to wait about half an hour before my food was served.

After lunch, I went to one of the many optics at City Square to get some new daily contact lens to replace the bi-weekly ones that I am using, but was told by the staff that my astigmatism was slanting the wrong way (heh???) and the only daily lenses that they have don't suit me.

I had absolutely no idea what he meant, but just blur blur told him thanks and left the shop. Well, at least he was really polite and helpful. I had more luck at the second optics and finally managed to order my contacts (which is actually the same brand the first shop had... Hmmm, weird...), to be collected next week. Another trip back to JB? I hope so~~~ ^_^

Anyway, Mumsies called while I was at the optics and I was kinda surprised that she was done so soon. When I met up with her, she told me that it was a public holiday in Malaysia due to some elections or something, so the place she wanted to go was closed to public.

Gua gua gua~~~ No wonder so many people lar.

We then walked around for a bit, but Mumsies was feeling tired and suggested that I go ahead to shop, while she came home first. And so there I was, shopping in City Square ALONE for the first time in my life. I AM SO INDEPENDENT! Anyway, just to make everyone jealous that I was out shopping on a workday, here are my conquests!

Don't be jealous!

An anti-blemish starter kit from Clinique, two Mango racerbacks, three new rings to add to my collection, a retractable blusher brush, eye-mask and lip balm from Bodyshop.

All sensible stuffs okay? And I am so happy to finally get the retractable blusher brush from Bodyshop. It's sold out everywhere I looked in Singapore. And the rings are so cheap! Only RM20 for all three!

After that, I walked around for a bit more and decided to call it a day shopping-wise because I knew I had already spent way too much compared to the previous times since all the stuffs I bought are "branded" and because I suddenly felt kinda bored shopping alone.

I NEED MY GIRLS TO SHOP WITH ME!

I then went for an early dinner at Sushi King which was okay although not fantastic and made my way back home to good ol'Singapore. And again! The new Malaysian customs is so nice! My only complaint that it's so big that I had to walk a long way just to get to the checkpoints.

Total damage today: RM520 RM = SGD221

Not really a cheap shopping trip but a lot of the stuffs are still cheaper as compared to Singapore, and I had a really great time. My only grief is that the salespeople at Mango were a tad rude. I am wondering if it's because I dressed like a farmer.

PFFT!

Mumsies lar! She say must dress like a farmer to avoid extra attention. Wait people think we are rich people and try to rob us. Next time I shall wear gown there! Hummph!

PS: Din't buy any shoes this time! *proud* Excellent self-control hor? I still haven't worn some of the ones I bought on my last trip loh. Hence must exercise reticence! HAAAAYAAK!

Boo-Ri-Cheeeeeee!

I am watching...

AGAIN! FINALLY!

Been wanting to do so for the longest time. Handsdown the best anime IMO!

I am just getting into the Arrancar Arc (I'm damn slow, I know, but I blame it on the super boring fillers. Simi bounto? Jeer!), and I am really liking it so far.

And I already have a new favourite character!

Hirako Shinji!

He is so funny! I couldn't stop laughing when he was doing his utterly ridiculous and stupid self-introduction to his classmates in the episode with his first appearance. And when the little punk girl with the two ponytails punch him in the face and his nose started bleeding like a tap. HAHAHA! Funny shit know!

I realised I have this thing for characters with like this sly, slightly-perverted look that makes you wonder if they are really good or evil. I really liked Ichimaru Gin too. I DEMAND MORE SCREEN TIME FOR HIM! He's such an interesting villain!

But but but, I read ahead (yes, I played cheat, neh neh ni boo boo~~~) on the plot and I think Shinji is really a victim who is just trying to survive despite a cruel twist of fate. Imagine if you used to be someone who is powerful and revered, and somehow boh dai boh ji got banished into the very evil existence that you have been fighting against. Then becomes nobutties rikes chiu! So sads loh cans?

Who won't become a little perverse after that?

Ahhh, this is seriously good entertainment!

Note: If you don't know what is Bleach or think that it is only a whitening agent, please go throw yourself against a wall and repent on what a suaku you are.

Ohhh, someone made a boo boo.

"很多事往往都出乎人的预料
我也从来没有预料到这种事会发生在我身上。
一切都好像是一场奇怪的梦,让人匪夷所思。
也给我带来了不少疑惑和忧虑。
不过,现在都已经过去了。
我也不再觉得不快乐。

原来没有了你,剩下的竟然是自由。"
